We are Doris and Michael Leonardo and we started Quintessence Catering in 1991, in the Dunedin, Florida area as a family owned restaurant and full service catering company. Over the next five to seven years, our catering business far outweighed the restaurant business and gave us the opportunity to move full time into the catering end of it. With a loyal customer base from the restaurant and local community, it made the transition into full time corporate and private catering possible.
We started our love of the hospitality world from working with high end restaurants and catering companies from New York to California studying our trade. While Doris was busy managing the front of the house & the hospitality side of things, Michael had been involved in operations and management of some of best run kitchens before coming to Florida. With both of us having a sharp eye for detail and with some of the best high end training, we were the perfect fit for opening our own business.
With a seemingly limitless array of cuisines, we’ve built our company on the foundation of service. We believe you can get food anywhere, but superior service is a limited commodity. Along with our team of culinary experts, we are passionate about designing a worry-free event.
Over the years Quintessence Catering has enjoyed the diversity and range of our clients and events, keeping it fun and challenging, while at the same time striving to make each one a memorable occasion.
